We are basing our 2017 short weekend UK tour at the Heythrop Park Hotel, near Enstone in Oxfordshire, a quintessentially English Country House converted to a conference, golf and leisure centre situated in parkland a long way from any traffic or cities.
We are currently (December 2016) in the middle of setting the final routes for two days driving in different directions from our base at Heythrop Park in Oxfordshire, depending on the availability of some exciting venues we plan to book for you to enjoy. We have found some motor-related venues that we have not visited before and are looking at finishing near Tetbury (hopefully the local royal country estate). In between, we are looking at one of several Formula One establishments in the area and some other country houses and possibly a local brewery or gin distillery.
The choices are infinite and require some careful selection to ensure we can comfortably park your precious cars and enjoy a variety of checkpoints. It goes without saying that we need to find some scenic roads for you to enjoy the open road and the wind in your hair, with some brilliant views across the English countryside as the blossom season approaches.
And the price?
All this for £425.00 for a car with two people, plus the hotel room (see below for rates) which covers:
Fully detailed route book Entry to places of interest Group dinner on Saturday night Breakdown assistance on the event Experienced officials on hand to help whenever you need Medical support from Event Doctor Rally plate Lots of fun and good company come as standard on our events!
We include the services of the very experienced team of mechanics at Brit Assist who are dedicated to keeping you moving and have a wealth of knowledge about classic cars of all makes. For anyone who has not had the benefit of this resource on a classic tour, we can say without hesitation, this is the best comfort blanket your precious car can have on this type of event, so far from home.
What if I don’t have a classic car?
We are happy to see any more modern cars of interest to the participants, officials and the general public. In the recent past we have had modern Ford Mustangs, Aston Martins, Jaguars, Alfa Romeos, Porsches, BMWs, MGFs, Mazda MX5s and Lotuses, so just ask if you can bring your modern “classic” instead. If you don't yet own a classic, or your own classic isn't working, we have an arrangement with two classic car hire companies; The Open Road and Webbs of Weybridge who can hire you a real classic for the UK tour (subject to their Terms and Conditions of course):
